Trip to Smithills Farm
As part of our Amazing Animals topic, Reception went on a trip to Smithills Farm. We had a fantastic day feeding and petting the animals, riding on the donkeys, having a very bumpy tractor ride and watching the cows being milked. As always we were very proud of the children for the fantastic way they represented themselves and Caldershaw.
Drawing Maps
Reception have been Reading Martha Maps It Out and have drawn their own maps of school.
Home Activities
Home activities are sent out on Fridays and is due back on Wednesdays. The children will receive a weekly task to complete with their family. The tasks consist of a variety of fun activities to do at home or in your local environment: For example taking a walk in your local park and talking about what you see!
They are also expected to read their reading book every night.

Caldershaw Collection
Space
Reception have been busy learning all about space, the different planets in our solar system and have been working as a team to make a giant collaborative collage of planet Earth.
